Types of Ovarian Cysts : REVEALED

There are several reasons which contribute towards the development of different types of ovarian cysts that usually vary from each other. Ovarian cyst is very much common amongst the women who experience it during menstrual cycle. During menstrual cycle many women develop a tiny little fluid or egg around the ovary. Since the cycle progresses the sacs starts rupturing and this releases the egg into the fallopian tube. Occasionally, ovarian cyst is the condition that puts every woman’s health in danger if it proves to be cancerous. There are different types of ovarian cysts that can be mostly harmful. Some of the various types of ovarian cysts include: -

·         Corpus Luteum Cysts – This kind of cysts can be referred to as the gland associated to ovary that creates the task of developing progesterone just after releasing the egg. This is for preparing the uterus for pregnancy. This type of cyst is healthy round glands that roughly have any dimension. Although it is noted that for identifying this kind of cyst it must have a diameter of almost half inch. This type of cyst normally has the tendency of forming during the time of menstrual cycle of the women. The existence of these cysts is usually common during the early stage of pregnancy. In many cases, the corpus luteum cyst disappears without even being treated.    

·         Hemorrhagic Cysts – The functional ovarian cysts that releases or contains blood vessels are usually known as hemorrhagic cysts.  This type of cyst dose not rupture every time but when they rupture then the blood levels tend to leak and the pelvic starts developing some kind of burning sensation.  Many women experiencing this kind of problem have to undergo surgery if the existence of hemorrhagic cyst is being detected. Normally, this kind of cyst causes pain in the abdomen and in the both side of the body. 

·         Dermoid Cysts – This type of ovarian cysts usually has the tendency of developing from the cells present in the ovary.  It is an original cell through which many other tissues such as bones, hair, and teeth grow. This kind of cyst has the tendency of having number of solid physical tissues. Since this ovarian cyst is benign it usually contains number of tissues. This kind of cysts usually develops on the cells where-in it has the possibility of forming other cells as well. These cells give rise to several mature tissues like bone, teeth, and so on. Dermoid cysts are particularly known as dermoids or ovarian teratomas.    

·         Chocolate Cysts – This kind of cyst is usually referred to as the particular condition that forms during the attack of ovary from the tissues known as endometrial. This condition responds to some of the hormonal changes that occur every month. As multiple types of cysts get formed at the time of this condition it can be very much painful particularly during the time of periods or intercourse.                 

Besides the above mentioned different types of ovarian cysts, cyst adenoma and polycystic ovary are the other two least common types of ovarian cysts found in women.
